Privacy Policy

This policy explains how HAMES ESTATES LIMITED, trading as Stagelight, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our website and studio, and the rights you have over that data.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is HAMES ESTATES LIMITED (trading as Stagelight), a private limited company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom, with its registered office at 8 St. James Terrace Lochwinnoch Road, PA13 4HB, Scotland. 2. What we collect

  • Account data: name, email address and password credentials.
  • Listing inputs: the text briefs you write, staging choices, and any room, facade or garden photos you upload.
  • Generated outputs: the staging renders, listing copy, curb-appeal images and walkthrough reels created for you.
  • Billing data: subscription plan, billing email, country and the last four digits and card brand as returned by our payment processor. We never receive or store your full card number.
  • Support data: messages you send us and enquiry-form submissions.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and usage/analytics events.

3. Collection sources — where we collect it from

The collection sources for the data above are:

  • Directly from you — account details, listing briefs, uploads and support messages you provide.
  • Automatically from your device — cookies and similar technologies (IP, device, usage events).
  • From our processors — our payment provider (subscription and payment status), hosting and analytics providers (technical events), and our AI provider (generation status).

4. Why we use it and our legal bases

  • To provide the studio (generate renders, copy and reels) — performance of our contract with you.
  • To take payment and manage subscriptions — performance of a contract and legal obligation.
  • To provide support — legitimate interests and contract.
  • To secure and improve the service — legitimate interests.
  • Analytics and non-essential cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not use your listing inputs, uploads or generated outputs to train AI models.

5. How we handle AI data: user input, generated output and uploads

User input: the text briefs, staging choices and any room, facade or garden photos you upload are sent to our AI provider solely to generate your requested renders, copy and reels. Generated output (staging renders, listing copy, curb-appeal images and walkthrough reels) is returned to your account. Uploaded source photos and user input are cached only as long as needed to produce your outputs and are cleared within 30 days by default. Generated outputs remain available in your account until you delete them or your account closes. We do not use your user input, uploads or generated output to train AI models. You may request deletion of any input or output at any time.

6. Payment provider boundary

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted checkout and are handled by Stripe under PCI-DSS. Stagelight does not see or store your full card number, CVC or expiry. We receive only the payment status and limited metadata needed to manage your subscription.

7. Who we share it with

We share data only with processors that help us run the service, under contract and only as needed:

  • Cloud hosting and content delivery (site and app hosting).
  • Payment processing (Stripe) for subscriptions and billing.
  • Database, authentication and file storage providers.
  • Our AI provider — the model provider that generates images, copy and reels from your user input and uploads.
  • Email and support tooling to respond to you.

We do not sell your personal data.

8. International transfers

Some processors operate outside the UK/EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

9. How long we keep it

Account and billing records are kept for the life of your account and for up to 7 years afterwards where required for tax and accounting. Uploaded source photos are cleared within 30 days. Support messages are kept for up to 24 months. Analytics data is retained in aggregated or short-lived form.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. Secret payment keys are stored in server-side environment configuration, never exposed to the browser. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and regulators of a qualifying breach as required by law.

11. Your rights (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email support@hamesestates.shop. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local EU supervisory authority.

12. California rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. You may exercise these rights, without discrimination, by contacting us at support@hamesestates.shop.

13. Automated decisions and children

Generation is triggered by you and reviewed by you; we do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you by solely automated means. The studio is not for children: it is prohibited for anyone under 13, and users aged 13–17 must have verifiable consent from a parent or guardian.
